Warning :
advanced riders only should setup the quick releaser this way.
We strongly suggest that beginners and regular riders use the quick
releaser without the freestyle handle, because it is faster and
more intuitive (see
demo).
We added this handle for expert users who ride unhooked to perform
rotations, because they may trigger the quick releaser while grabbing
the quick
releaser with their hand when they unhook the chicken loop or hook
it back to the harness.
Setting up this handle prevents unwanted openings of the quick releaser.
Here is how it works:
|
|
| |
The red strap contains a tube that goes below the trigger. The tube
stays in place with a call-back stretchable rope that keeps it
below the trigger.
All you have to do is pass the stretchable rope through the tube
and through the hole of the front lines, and tighten it.
|
|
If you press the trigger without pulling the red handle, the quick
releaser will not open.
In order to trigger the opening of the quick releaser, pull the
red handle towards you, slightly to your right.
Warning: make sure not to pull horizontally (90°), because the quick
releaser will not open.
|
|
As you pull the red handle, the quick releaser will open and let the
metallic ring go.
Note: if you ride in the waves unhooked and need to trigger the
quick releaser in case of emergency, one of the good
points is that you
will not lose the quick releaser
... unlike many other quick releasers on the market...

We strongly suggest that beginners and
people who do not ride unhooked do not set up this handle, because
you won't have to figure out how to pull the handle in case of emergency.
Instead, all you have to do is just press
the trigger.
However, if you do want to use the handle and do not perform rotations
and do not ride unhooked, it is totally useless to tighten the black
strechable rope. Don't even use the strechable rope.

Nota : if you are left handed, just flip the quick releaser
in order to grab the handle with your left hand.
