Kite Attitude introduces the new 2011 Totem Kites:
C-kite Feeling - Intuitive
The kites feature a C arch, with a sustained leading edge (SLE) briddle
system. The feeling is really close to a C kite, with the
use of use of a hybrid kite (relaunching is very easy, especially
with small sizes, and great depower). The kites are very
intuitive. Beginners will feel at ease right away, and freestyle
pro-riders will know where the kite is, without having to look at it.
A New and Unique Kite Range
Unlike most brands that offer numerous kites (freestyle,
freeride, wave, school...) we developped a unique concept:
kites smaller than 10m2 are perfectly suited for freestyle
riding and wave riding, and kites over 10m2 are great for
freestyle riding and racing. So the 12 and 14.5 have a higher
aspect ratio that allow them to go upwind even better and
have great hangtime. The 6.5 and 9 Totem kites are a bit
more "shrinked" so that you can use them for teaching (great
relaunching...), wave riding and freestyling. You will notice
the 6.5 kite is also great with a race board: it keeps accelerating...
Amazing Speed Potential
The kites turn very very quickly with a small bar. The top
speed is unmatched: they keep gaining speed if you ride a
race board. The kite profiles are very thin and fine tuned.
The low wind range is awsome: this is due to a specific
profile and an optimized kite construction.
Light bar pressure: beginners will love them, as well as
freestyle riders that can unhook without too much pressure.
The graphics come from the first Carribean islands inhabitants:
Arawaks and Taïnos.
HUGE Depower with the Kite Attitude Bar - Afnor
Standard - Safety
You can use the Totem kites with the 2009 or the 2010 Kite
Attitude Bar. The bar offers a huge depower due to a
big throw. You can customize the bar very easily. The quick
release system is patented and very safe. It complies with
the French Afnor safety standard.
All you need to do now is experience the Totem kites yourself...
_ "The Totem kites are among the most advanced and finetuned kites..."
Alain Bernard is a very famous designer in the kite industry. He
designed the kites together with Donatien Roger. Alain was trained
by Bruno Legaignoux, and worked for companies such as Wipika, Takoon
(Wook, Scoop, Chrono...), and Lou Wainmann (Rabbit...). Alain considers
the Totem kites are the most advanced kites he ever designed.
Alain is very very picky about kite design and construction, and
optimized all sewing and stitching, in order to find the ideal compromise
between light weight and durability. As a result, the low wind range
is amazing and the kites fly really really well with little wind
(5 knots).
To this day, ALL the guys that tested the TOTEMs and currently
ride with F..., S... or Z... want to switch and give up their existing
kites!!!
